Since I started blogging about six months ago I have fallen in love with the simplicity of Scandinavian Design. I love the fresh all-white colour palette mixed back with soft neutrals such as beige and grey. Natural fibres such as linen and cotton always look crisp and clean and give the spaces a textured, honest feel to them. White washed floors and ceilings allows the light to bounce around making them bright and airy. Candles play an important role in decorating, making homes cosy and romantic at night. Scandinavian design suits beach house living perfectly as you can see in this pretty Norwegian Summer house.

I love it Melissah, My little cottage down the shore is considered a norwegian fishing cottage. It's very old but that the way we love it.

Thanks for stopping by to visit me at Green Willow Pond. Our pond does not qualify for beach side by any stretch of the imagination. I grew up on a lake though and sorely miss the water.
