The weekend for me is all about getting out and about with family and friends. There's something about a weekend at the beach that makes people relax and unwind. It's all that fresh air and saltwater that clears the head and gives you energy to take on the challenge of a game of beach cricket or get out and go for a bike ride. We like going for long beach walks, throwing the frisbee as we go, in search of shells, crabs and star fish hiding in the rock pools. We often stop to build a sandcastle and it always finishes with ice-creams for the kids. What's your favourite beach activity? Have a great weekend!

Oh, I can't wait for summer so I can spend a few weeks at my favourite beach, Mooloolaba in Queensland. There is nothing like long lazy days at the beach is there!

My hubby's avocation is handdrumming, so he's performing at an outdoor bistro tonight with his group - will be attending that! In South Florida, it's a fun thing to do!

Thank you for such a inspirational blog. Enjoying your coastal style theme. Writing from Santa Barbara California where its 75 degrees and beauitful. Every day here is beauitful. My favorite beach activity is walking and collecting shells and dritwood for projects at my own beach cottage. We have so many beaches to choose from that every day on the beaches here is an adventure. Many of our beaches have restaurants on the sand so after a long walk its fun to meet friends and eat dinner watching the sunset on the beach, a very loved activity here. As we say in California, Life is a Beach!
