Beach House Moments

I always think its the accessories and the attention to detail that can make a beach house feel so special. I love big baskets filled with magazines lying around. Guestss always rummage threw them then find a quiet, sunny corner to flick through their favourite mags over a cup of coffee. Our coffee tables and bookshelves are piled high with lovely books on coastal architecture, surfing and lighthouses. My husband has a collection of old surfboards from the sixties hanging on the walls and they are joined by old fishing roads and boat ores. There are bowls full of shells and coral and collectively these bits and pieces give the house it's character and personality.

Lovely images as always ;)
I once saw in a magazine... A family who traveled quite a lot, had a long shelf built, narrow like a picture shelf. They had small jars of sand lined up, from All the different beaches throughout the World, places they had been to. Pink sand, Grey sand, black sand, small stones etc. It was such a great idea!! I dont recall the magazine, nor who they were..... Just a really cool idea, that has stuck with mé for long while.

Love these images and I agree about the details, they can add so much. I love the basket and have been looking for something like that to put all our blankets in for the fall and winter.

Since I am a beach gal at heart, I'm in love with every single one of these images. They say "happiness" to me.
