My husband I are keeping an eye on local real estate - hoping one day to be able to move to a little weatherboard shack within walking distance of the beach ... our little cottage by the sea, like these cute ones above. Well we found one on the weekend and went to the auction on Sunday. It is a bright blue beach shack in desperate need of love and attention ...or bulldozing, but it's in a great position one street back from the beach. Anyway my little dream was shattered when it was passed in at 1.8 million. Are you kidding me???
So it looks like we will be staying put for a while longer waiting to win Tattslotto!

Love these photos. Some gorgeous houses!
All of those are lovely though.
Oh Melissah, that is very disappointing, these pictures are gorgeous.x
How disappointing for you......lucky it's fun to look. Beautiful photos, thanks for sharing. x
WOW, it never ceases to amaze how much the humble beach 'shack' will go for (or not go for as the case may be) these days. I'm thinking the word shack is a little deceptive ;o) LOVE this beach cottage, YUM! xo
I so understand. I have been looking at some real estate here and the homes are just too much for me. And, I think the maintenance would be more than I can deal with. So, I have decided a townhome on the beach will be better for me. I think I may have found one. I am crossing my fingers it will still be available.
Yikes - 1.8million is a lot of money, especially as it's not even beachfront property! You need to move to the US :)
