I love anything that's fresh and creative, bright and welcoming,
and this Queensland cottage is right up my alley!
As an accomplished photographer, stylist, buyer, and seller, Kara Rosenlund has a career that takes her all over the globe, including working with the likes of Madonna. After jet-setting around the world, Aussie native Kara purchased a 19th-century worker's cottage and set up home in Queensland. The next three years were spent restoring the bare-bones home, incorporating many traditional fixtures and materials, to create a contemporary feel. Her experience as a stylist totally shines through on this project - the attention to detail is what really makes this cottage come alive with character and personality.

This house would make me happy. I love the touches of brown for that earthy feel. The open cupboard is pretty but would be tough in Cali with all the earthquakes.
i love her simple style! gorgeous.

That first picture is gorgeous. I have to say that my children would think I had gone totally crazy if I lined pineapples up on a bench though.
What a beautiful home.
