When
India Hicks left the rat race for the Caribbean, people scratched
their heads. But the model turned interior designer soon created a new
path for herself. The daughter of British designer David Hicks and god
daughter of the Prince of Wales. She has written two books,
including 'Island Life' and 'Island Beauty' in collaboration with
Crabtree and Evelyn. She and her husband have also built and restored 4
houses and a hotel along the way.
India was born in London, England, in 1967, her mother Pamela Hicks, is daughter to the Earl and Countess Mountbatten of Burma. She has a degree in photography but started her working life as a model with her first modelling assignment for Ralph Lauren. A career on the other side of the camera was born. She now lives on a small island in the Bahamas, with David Flint and her five gorgeous children.

I love the photos of her home in Eleuthera. We had a home in the northern Bahamas for years. It's an interesting style of indoor/outdoor living that we happened to love.
I've previously pinned several, but you have some I've not seen. She and David are an inspiration to all of us who love the island style of decorating. They both have excellent taste.
