Energy Boosters

~ especially at the start of the week? 
After last week I am in desperate need of a bit of help in this department!

 Here's some tips to help you stay energised all week long ...

Drink heaps of water... Dehydration can cause your energy levels to plummet.
Start your day with two glasses of water as soon as you wake up,
and keep a water bottle with you and sip from it throughout the day.

Try to eat right... Eggs are rich in choline, which helps to boost concentration - and omega-3 fatty acids are critical to improving brain function, energy, and mood. You could add a bit of salmon to your morning omelets or put it on your dinner menu once or twice a week; alternatively, a 1,000 to 1,500 milligram daily supplement should energise you in about a week.

Get your heart pumping... Exercise activates the whole sympathetic nervous system which wakes you up and gives you a healthy boost. Even if you don't have time to hit the gym, a brisk walk around the block or along the beach can have the same effect as a double espresso...without the crash that follows.

Sleep well... Easier said than done but there are a few things tricks
to getting more restful sleep: 
* Keep your room cool to help your body fall into deeper sleep.
* Keep digital clocks out of your line of slight; the light can be disruptive.
 * Look for an alarm clock that wakes you up gradually, rather than one that startles you out of deep sleep. The loud sound is too much of a transition for the brain and body.
