Because I live on the coast our Christmas always has a 'beachy' feel. The tree is decorated in aqua, white and silver. We always get a real tree - there's a local nursery that has the most perfect shaped Christmas trees possible. I love the smell of the pine needles which always outweighs the fact that they leave behind such a mess! We make up a batch of eggnog, put on our favourite Christmas CD and sing along while we decorate the tree. The boys somehow always manage to disappear pretty early on! We have little starfish, shells and a collection of baby bears from Harrods. Every year I buy half a dozen new hand blown glass ball balls - each one exquisitely decorated and a work of art.

Looks lovely! And you are right to decorate in beach style. Would love to see Christmas in Australia! Hugs, Barbara, while staying in a snowy country like Switzerland.
Gorgeous!
I love decorating with a blue, white, and silver theme. I collect the Waterford Holiday Heirlooms ornaments, so I love carefully unwrapping them each year to add to my tree - most of them are in silver and white.
