Modernist Sydney Beach House

This modernist family home showcases these homeowners' passion
 for mid-century architecture and furniture.

This modernist timber and sandstone home belongs to interior stylist Karen Kelly Tarasin. The house, which is built in the style of modernist architect Harry Seidler, is located on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The decor is a mix of old and new with modernist touches in every corner. In the dining area a Saarinen ‘Tulip’ table is paired with original Hans Wegner chairs and a pendant light from Danish design company Muuto. The white base (floors and walls) keeps it fresh, bringing it into the 21st century, whilst the timber furniture gives it warmth and personality.

I feel like this apartment unit or house is a lot more like a hunter's den than a beach house honestly! All those fur rugs on the floor makes it feel very wintry and rustic!
