A global mix of styles creates this bright and light filled home.

I'm feeling very inspired by this beautiful, fresh Scandinavian style in this renovated home designed by Simone and Rhys Haag. Located in the suburbs of Melbourne, this was originally a rundown 1960′s cottage … before the talented couple set to work and transformed it. The end result is a calm oasis with a distinctly Nordic feel. The features that caught my eye were the painted timber lining boards, the cathedral ceilings, the limewashed floorboards, the restrained colour palette and the detailing of the kitchen joinery. It's been thoughtfully decorated with mid-century Danish furniture which is experiencing a huge come-back at the moment.
