The Atlantic Guesthouse is at the top of my bucket list.
Inspired by travels through California, Arizona and Mexico, the Atlantic’s new Albatross Inn brings a touch of desert oasis to Byron Bay. Outside, the ocean is right on your doorstep, but inside beyond the palms, you could be somewhere between Portland and Puerto Rico in this shipwrecked paradise.
The Albatross Inn is the idyllic hideaway for those who like to lay back and lounge. Each room comes with its own Moroccan tiled courtyard, complete with outdoor shower and daybed—the perfect spot to wash off the salt and soak up the sun. At the heart of The Albatross Inn is a sundrenched outdoor shade shack where you can prepare breakfast, grill up a barbeque lunch or sit around the bar area and pour yourself a sundowner. Perfect for the wandering wayfarer, when you’re not surfing the Pass or enjoying the privacy of your courtyard cabin, you can hangout poolside, play cards under the shade shack or battle it out on the new petanque field.
Like all Atlantic spaces, The Albatross Inn is full of personality, with it’s walls of vintage collectables and laid back coastal feel, handmade ceramic tiles, relaxed vibes and attention to detail. The perfect place to kick off your shoes, chill out and enjoy the warmest of welcomes.
