A stunning beachfront home
A bland house on Sydney's Northern Beaches became a beautiful beachfront sanctuary when its owners virtually tore it down and started again three years after moving in. The owners wanted a home with a beachy feel, and worked closely with architect Sean Gartner and interior designer Kate Bell to realise their vision. The owner specified interiors that were “timeless and classic, Piet Boon meets Ralph Lauren”, with raw materials, a calming pale pastel palette and plenty of texture. The result is a serene sanctuary for a family of five to live in harmony.
The palette is a classic fresh white and blue coastal style, with beautiful oak timber floors and bi-fold doors allowing for a light and breezy living area. Linen and cotton curtains feature throughout, with carrara marble benchtops in the kitchen and bathroom and beautiful Arabesque-style tiles in the bathroom. I love pretty well everything about this home, especially the location!
