A stylish getaway
This inspiring seaside home is located just south of Lisbon, in Portugal’s coastal retreat of Comporta, an under-the-radar playground for the fashionable European crowd. Once a sleepy fishing village, the area is now emerging as a hush-hush destination where luxury rental villas, gourmet restaurants, a vibrant nightlife and sculpture museums stand alongside fishermen’s huts. The first wave of residents years ago included a bohemian set of artits, designers and jetsetters including the likes of shoe designer, Christian Louboutin. The homes were humbly integrated into the rugged landscape of umbrella pines and gnarled cork trees. The prevalent style in many of the houses was a casual boho vibe - with lots of rattan furniture, global treasures and Moroccan rugs.I am loving this laid-back, beachy vibe with it's pops of vibrant colour.
